LOZ Early Summer

After a pretty wet week the skies are supposed to start clearing after today. We haven't had a lot of rain this year so the area needed it pretty bad. Usually in June we are catching some really nice bass off shore using our maps to find good spots off the bank. That whole pattern hasn't materialized like it usually does. Hopefully this rain will help that and we'll get some current rolling through the lake.

Catfishing for blues has been ok. One day we smashed them really good but since then it has been fair. A couple of big ones lost the last 2 days really hurt. I could be telling you all about a much different report if we could have kept them on. Drifting 20-40 feet of water with cut green sunfish.

Crappie have been consistent. Deeper than they were earlier in the year I would say 10-20 feet down. Look on the main channel docks. Johnson tubes with crappie nibbles.
